Project Description: 

The Kentucky RoAd Bridge, locAted on the City of Independence/KCMO line eAst of the wAste treAtment plAnt, wAs closed in spring 2019 due to A hole in the bridge deck mAking it unsAfe to trAverse. KCMO is coordinAting with the City of Independence on funding, developing the full scope of repAir, And project mAnAgement.

TrAffic ImpAct: 

The bridge is currently closed. The current detour is About A mile-- in the event of A trAin, the detour involves tAking Huttig Avenue to the eAst. 

Timeline: 

We expect repAirs to be completed by summer 2020.
